Co-Chairman of the Board
Jeff Bizzack joined ServiceSource as President in April 2009 to drive the company's rapid growth and expansion. He oversaw all client-facing activities across the customer lifecycle including sales, marketing, development, and delivery. Jeff has an excellent track record in the technology and outsourcing industries helping companies develop and expand their client base, establishing global service centers, and leading organizations through significant revenue growth and expansion. Jeff has held several key roles at leading companies including Accenture LLC, a company focused on the mid-market, where he served as Managing Director and CEO for Finance, Accounting and Human Resources Outsourcing, Savista where he served as CEO of the technology and outsourcing company, and ProBusiness Services which he co-founded and built into the premier provider of HR BPO solutions and later successfully sold to ADP.
In addition to his professional experience, Jeff has served on the board of a number of industry and nonprofit organizations including the HROA (Human Resource Outsourcing Association) as Vice-Chairman, he founded and was Chairman of the Mid-Market HROA Board North America organization, and is an active board member and Chairman (emeritus) of Miocean, a non-profit with a mission to reduce ocean pollution. In addition, Jeff holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from St. Mary's College in Moraga, California.
John A. Meyer
Co-Chairman of the Board
John A. Meyer is Chief Executive Officer of Arise Virtual Solutions. John joined the company in 2011 to drive the organization’s growth, set the strategic vision and manage the global operations of the business. John has over 28 years of leadership experience with large publicly traded organizations, and building high growth organizations in both the United States and internationally.
Prior to joining Arise in 2011, John served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Acxiom Corporation, a $1.2 billion global interactive marketing services company with more than 6,500 employees. Previously, he served as President of the Global Services group of Alcatel-Lucent for five years, where he was responsible for more than $6 billion in annual revenue and the management of more than 20,000 people. Prior to joining Lucent, he spent almost 20 years in a number of high-profile positions at Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS), including Chairman of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Operating Team, President of Diversified Financial Services and Credit Services Divisions, and CIO for the company’s GMAC business. John’s global, multi-industry experience at EDS was marked by numerous successes, including doubling revenue in EMEA from $3.6 billion to $7.2 billion in four years.
Before entering the business world, John served as a flight commander and was selected as a captain in the U.S. Air Force. He holds a MBA from the University of Missouri and a BS in management from Pennsylvania State University.
Edgar Bronfman Jr.
Edgar Bronfman, Jr. has been a member of the Board of Directors at Arise since September 2013. Mr. Bronfman is a Managing Partner of Accretive LLC, which he joined in 2002. Previously, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of Warner Music Group.
Before joining Warner Music Group in March 2004, Mr. Bronfman served as chairman and chief executive officer of Lexa Partners LLC, a management venture capital group which he founded in April 2002. Mr. Bronfman was vice chairman of the board of directors of Vivendi Universal, S.A. from December 2000 until December 2003 and also served as an executive officer of Vivendi Universal from December 2000 until December 2001.
Prior to the formation of Vivendi, Mr. Bronfman served as president and chief executive officer of The Seagram Company Ltd. from June 1994 until December 2000 and as president and chief operating officer of Seagram from 1989 until June 1994. Mr. Bronfman is a director of IAC/InterActiveCorp, a publicly-held operator of Internet businesses. Mr. Bronfman is also a member of the board of trustees of the New York University Medical Center, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Mark Hodges has been a member of the Board of Directors at Arise since April 2011. Mark is an acknowledged pioneer of business process outsourcing (BPO), coining the term in 1989 in the first-ever research report on BPO. Mark has a talent for creating new markets and building the preeminent company in those markets, including EquaTerra, Exult, TPI and G2 Research. Currently, Mark is the Founder and CEO of Hodges Advisory, a built-for-purpose firm that advises founders of services companies on high growth and liquidity.
As a co-founder of EquaTerra and chairman of the board, Mark worked actively with a variety of EquaTerra clients across the globe and was responsible for corporate development until EquaTerra was acquired by KPMG in February, 2011. EquaTerra represented buyers of outsourcing and grew to over $100M in revenue with operations in 15 countries. Prior to EquaTerra, Mark established and led TPI’s BPO practice. In a two-year period, he grew the practice to represent 15 percent of TPI’s revenue and TPI grew from $29M to $75M. He was also responsible for TPI’s Strategy & Corporate Development function. Before TPI, Mark served as Vice President, Strategy and Marketing, for Exult, a leading HR BPO company, and helped grow the company from $0 in revenue to $273 million in less than three years. Earlier, he served as worldwide director of Gartner Dataquest's IT Services (ITO and BPO) Vendor Group, which consisted of more than 40 analysts across the globe. Prior to Gartner, Mark was the COO and Chief Analyst at G2 Research, a leading advisory firm for global IT services he founded and was purchased by Gartner.
Mark graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in political economies of industrial societies (economics and political science).
Thomas J. Neff
Tom Neff has been a member of the Board of Directors of Arise since July 2010. As Chairman of Spencer Stuart U.S., he has been with the firm since 1976. He managed the worldwide firm from 1979 to 1987. His consulting practice focuses on CEO and board of director consulting and searches. He has conducted more than 300 CEO and more than 500 board searches. He founded the Board Services Practice in the U.S. as well as the firm's U.S. advisory board of prominent CEOs. He previously served as leader of the firm's professional practices committee for 10 years.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, he was a principal with Booz Allen & Hamilton in executive search. Previously, he was the CEO of an information systems company and held a senior marketing position with TWA. Earlier, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York and Australia.
Tom served on the board of directors of ACE Limited, a $20 billion Zurich-based insurance company. He also previously served on the board of the Lord Abbett Mutual Funds as well as Macmillan and Exult until they were acquired. He serves as a trustee emeritus of Lafayette College and previously served as chairman of the board of the Brunswick School.
Tom has an M.B.A. from Lehigh University, a B.S. degree in industrial engineering from Lafayette College, and served as an officer and aide de camp in the U.S. Army.
